These moments of impact in our lives will make us feel defeated, lost and helpless. You are left with no choice but to deal with the suffering until things become okay.

Here are seven things you need to know to deal with major life changes and help you recover from the blows of these life altering moments.

The first thing you need to know is that you are human. You are allowed to cry and be vulnerable. Do not pretend things are okay or be ashamed to show your pain. You owe no one an explanation. You own your emotions and you have the right to express them. Crying helps relieve pain, even for a little while. So if you are in pain, go on and shed those tears.

If you are down right now, take refuge in knowing that change is constant. Things will not always be as bad as they are now. Life is unpredictable. It can always take a change for the better or the worse. You just have to learn to roll with the punches when things are bad.
